Say "Cheese!" or my mother's favorite picture-taking expression, "Pickle-nose!" At Immanuel, one of our goals is to have up-to-date photos of ministry happenings to use in bulletin and Messenger articles, for photo slideshows, and other highlighting formats. With more than 100 ministries, this is no small task. If you're the family member always snapping pictures and you're wishing you had more opportunities to play with your camera, we're seeking ministers to assist with updating our Ministry Photo Directory. This directory is currently in the form of digital photos organized into folders on the church Y drive.
Help is needed with:
- calling ministry leaders (to either obtain recent photos they've taken or to set up times to take pictures of their ministers in action)
- taking photos of ministry groups (at their meetings or events) - this will be easier if you use a digital camera
- scanning hard-copy photos into the computer to save them digitally
The goal is to eventually have photos from every ministry on file. If you are willing to help in any or all of these areas, please contact Lisa Jaeger, Director of Assimilation and Deployment.
Also, if you have ministry photos that you'd like to have in the directory, please email them to Lisa Jaeger, put hard copies in Lisa's church mailbox (I'd be happy to return them to you after scanning them), or, if you are a staff member, go to the Y drive, open the Ministry Photo Directory folder, and copy the photos into the Add to Directory folder and Lisa will rename them and sort them into the appropriate sub-folders.
