Many exciting opportunities to share your thoughts and grow as a ministry leader are planned for this fall. Although these activities are optional, I do hope you will be able to attend these beneficial events.
PLACE Workshop - Sunday, Nov. 16, 23, 30 and Dec. 7: 10:45 a.m. – noon in the School Library
This is an insightful class that I’d recommend taking if you haven’t yet – even if you have personally found a PLACE at Immanuel, further knowledge of the program might be helpful as you receive ministry referrals regarding PLACE participants. Perhaps taking the class might also help you answer others’ questions about the class or encourage you to recommend it to others.
Ministry Leader Workshop – Tuesday, Oct. 21 in the Fellowship Hall from 6:30-8:30 p.m. or Sunday, Nov. 9 in the Fellowship Hall from 10:45 a.m. -12:45 p.m.
Mr. Gary Janetzke from the South Wisconsin District LCMS office will be presenting a ministry leader seminar, with opportunities for leaders to discuss and do activities together. Light refreshments will be served. Check your mailbox for an invitation.

Gary currently serves as Superintendent for Lutheran Schools and a resource to congregations in the area of youth and Family Ministry. Church Website Workshop – Session 1: Sunday, Oct. 26 at 10:45 a.m. in the School Library and Sunday, Nov. 2 at 10:45 a.m. in the School Computer Lab OR Session 2: Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 – 11 a.m. in the School Library and School Computer Lab
This class, led by Larry Ploetz, Brian Jaeger, and myself, will teach you about all our Immanuel Website has to offer – and how to maximize your use of this resource. This class is open to the entire congregation and sign-up sheets will be at the Info Center Desk in advance, as the number of computers in the lab is limited. I especially encourage you to attend, to learn how to log-in on the Opportunities to Serve Webpage so that you can modify the online calendar, your ministry’s profile, and more. The Web is a terrific way to keep the congregation current on your ministry’s activities and how they can get involved in your work.
