Thank you to the 91 registered bicyclists who rode in Wheeling for Healing as part of Immanuel’s team! And thank you to everyone who supported them with prayers and donations! Wheeling for Healing is both a fundraiser for the Cancer Care Center at Community Memorial Hospital and a celebration for cancer survivors. Immanuel had several cancer survivors riding. With registration fees and donations, Immanuel gave $2048 (for 91 registrations and donations) to support cutting edge and compassionate treatment for cancer patients at Community Memorial. All are grateful!

By riding with “Immanuel Lutheran – Brookfield” name on the back of our T-shirts, we also let the local world know that we care about them and are here for their spiritual needs. Add to that the exercise of all the bicyclists, the lunch, music and fun activities for the kids -- and we had a fabulous win-win-win missional service activity, for our entire congregation!
