Confirmation is the church rite that indicates that a child of God has been prepared to attend the Lord’s Supper. Youth Confirmation is held during the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years of school. In 6th grade, day school and public school students meet together during the Sunday School hour. In 7th and 8th grade, day school students receive instruction during the school day. Public school students meet at a time and day agreed upon by the parents and teachers. The PLACE Workshop is also conducted as part of the class in the 8th grade year.
Confirmation Day is set annually, usually on Palm Sunday of each year. During the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years, retreats are held for intensive discipleship and to build relationships among the youth. Three to four times during the 8th grade year, parent-confirmand lunch meetings are shared. Contact Pastor Dan Schneider for more information.
